Gasha
Gasha is a Kurdistani political organisation
struggles for establishing a political and
technocratic party based on the social
democratic foundation and values. Gasha is a
conformation of concerned Kurdistan
intellectuals at home and abroad. Gasha adopts a
non-violent and democratic method of struggle as
the only means by which to progress the
political process in Kurdistan and to achieve
its aims.
The definition and interpretation of the logo
of the Gasha Organisation
Definition
The logo of the Gasha Organisation comprises of
a red rose with twenty one petals, four of which
are in blue, purple, violet and black. There are
four green leaves at the lower part of the red
rose and the bottom the word GASHA is inscribed
in gold.
Interpretation
The red rose is the symbol of social democracy.
Its twenty one petals denote to Newroz, the
Kurdish New Year which coincides the 21st of
March in western calendar. The four petals in
blue, purple, violet and black denote to the
non-Kurdish components of Kurdistan : the
Turcomans, Chaldeans, Assyrians and Arabs. The
four leaves of the red rose are signify the four
dismembered parts of Kurdistan . The colours
red, white, green and yellow are the traditional
colours of the flag of Kurdistan.
